Traditional Byzantine Iconography by Paul Azkoul

Paul Azkoul began painting traditional Byzantine style icons in the 1980s, attempting to folllow the stylization of Photios Kontoglou. He has a son Aaron and a daughter Irene. His wife’s name is Katherine. He is the son of the eminent Theologian Fr. Michael Azkoul. His mother is Theodora Azkoul who has fell asleep in the Lord in 2017. Paul formerly lived in Saint Louis Missouri and now lives in Chicago Illinois; attending Saint John the Baptist Greek Orthodox Church located in Willow Springs, Illinois.
